The Redwood Regional Park Loop is a somewhat difficult 5.9 mile hike the loop through Redwood Regional Park in Oakland. This trail can be accessed via Skyline Boulevard. While there is a small parking lot, it will generally be full on weekends and might require parking on the street.

The trail actually is made up of several trails that run throughout the park, but begins on East Ridge Trail and heads east, before eventually turning south and running along the French trail.

The trail consists largely of dirt and packed gravel although at certain points it is paved. Dogs are allowed on leash, and the path is usually heavily trafficked throughout the week. A large portion of the trail is canopy covered, and while some portions do have a steep elevation gain, the trail is largely rolling with lighter dips and rises.
